The Joey’s menu is anchored by our Famous Fish and Chips; lightly battered and crisp, it’s Canada’s favourite. On Tuesday, we’re known for All You Can Eat Fish and Chips!
Our menu also features a wide variety of seafood including shrimp, crab, salmon, halibut, mussels and more, as well as chicken and ribs, salads, appetizers, desserts and kids meals. The seafood dishes are prepared just the way you like them – sautéed in lemon or garlic, blackened, lightly battered, poached, or grilled.
Our menu is augmented with seasonal specials at which time recipes and seafood from all over the world are available!
Joey’s first opened its doors in the summer of 1985 in Calgary, Alberta. One might think this is an odd birthplace for a seafood restaurant chain but Joe’s great recipes, speedy service and great hospitality soon had the seats full and a line up down the block.
With its growing success, Joey’s expanded to multiple stores and then began franchising in 1992. By 1997, within five years of franchising, Joey’s was voted the “Number 1 new full service restaurant franchise” by Entrepreneur magazine.
In 1999 Joey’s introduced its Rotisserie Chicken and ribs under the Tennessee Jack’s banner and further broadened the chain’s appeal.
In May of 2000 Joey’s Seafood Restaurants across Canada adopted the Alzheimer society as a national charity. To date, over $800,000 has been raised to support this vital cause. In addition, Joey’s owners across Canada support a number of locally important causes.
